FIRST QUARTER:

Well friends ,a New Year just began and again, we at Hubsa-Aruba repeat our commitment  to our friends/companies we represent to continue our teamwork and where possible fortify it even more. Once more Bon Anja (Happy New Year!!!)

Let's start;

On January 19, Nelson Salas (our managing director) and Tico Monte (sales & marketing) left for Miami to attend an important meeting with Mr. Gary Hansford and Mr. Jon Plimpton of Church & Dwight on January 20. For us it was a pleasure to meet  Jon and Gary and discuss the markets of Aruba and Curacao and the future of the Church & Dwight products in our markets. In the meanwhile we have been informed that Mr. Gary Hansford, not withstanding all our efforts to keep the Church & Dwight line, decided to appoint his Canadian company's representative on our islands to follow-up where we left. Our comment is that we are very sorry to see the Church & Dwight line depart, to another company and have to see how all our years of efforts in promoting and creating demand for Brillo, Arm & Hammer and so on , go down the drain. Time will tell.

Lever;

On January 28, Mr. Abdel Ali and Mr. Ingram Leeyoung invited our Managing Director for a breakfast meeting at the Kura Hulanda  hotel on the island of Curacao. On behalf of our company we would like to thank both Abdel and Ingram for the invitation., As mentioned by Nelson during the breakfast, Lever was, is and will always be one of our main and most important companies.  Thanks again and rest assured that we will always be at your order.

Supermax & White Rain;

Hubsa has been approached by  Ms. Laurie Edgerly of Tri-Star's inviting us to represent Supermax, Razor Blades and White Rain shampoo and conditioner. After a market survey done by Tico, John and the sales group the invitation was accepted and we look forward to introduce these new two products by mid April 2005...

During the month of March, it was a pleasure again to welcome to our island Mr. Ingram Leeyoung. Ingram , he used his stay to visit the trade with our sales & marketing director, Mr. Tico Monte.. By the end of his visit, our management consisting of John, Tico and Nelson had a very interesting and successful wrap-up meeting with Ingram.

SECOND QUARTER:

Boost and Nutrament stock arrived in our warehouse ready to be sold the local market. One of our sales representative, Ms. Aiska Pieters will be the person who's responsibly is to have Boost and Nutrament in all drugstore, convenient stores and supermarkets. A promotion for on TV is presently in the pipeline.

On April 5, we had the pleasure in welcoming to our offices Ms. Amarilis Guinding from Mead Johnson. Mr. Isaac Lapcius CEO from Delvalle Brands in Miami and Mr. Elie Arama, CEO from EAMarketing. The group visited the trade during the fist day followed by a meeting with our management. Our management is very proud with the appointment of Hubsa as the exclusive representative of Mead John through Delvalle Brands. Amarilis, Isaac, Elie,.On behalf of the management and staff. THANKS !!! Also we would like to use this to thank Mr. Anthony Paty, from Mead Johnson who could not visit us this time for his input.

June 2005, Tico Monte, our Sales & Marketing Manager, represented John and Nelson at the Hormel International Partners Conference held in Austin, Minnesota. Our company presented to Mr. Rick Bross, President HFIC a plaque of appreciation, recognizing the forty plus years close relationship between Hubsa and Hormel Foods Corporation.

THIRD QUARTER:

Salas Marine it he name of our new yet to open Seadoo and accessories showroom in the same building, construction is ready and stocks are coming in. Salas Marine is a new addition to our company.                                                        

Hubsa has just been notified of its appointment as exclusive distributor for Valrico Products for the Aruba Market. Staff and management would like to thank Mrs. Nicole Ramdhanie for the support and trust in our company. Danki. Thanks in Papiamento.

"Salas Marine" is the name of our new Seadoo & ATV showroom a completely full equipped marine retail-store with its main attraction the world famous Seedoo'

FOURTH QUARTER:

Sat-Import B.V. will be the new company's trade name for the Curacao Market. Whilst we are ready to start, we are still awaiting the necessary requested official permits from the Department of Economics Affairs of the Curacao government. The official documents have been submitted on October 10, 2005. Our goal is to be operational as of January 15, February 1, 2006 the latest and will count 100% with Hubsa Aruba's management expertise combined with our local personnel.

During the month of November Hubsa-Aruba had the pleasure to receive for the first time the visit of Mr. Ricardo Klein,. Marketing Director of Delvalle Brands,, accompanied by Mr. Evan Hartford and Mr. Elie Arama. The Delvalle Team spent two days in our market. On behalf of our management we would like to thank Mr. Klein, Arama and Hartford for their visit and look forward to meet them soon again.

November 30. we had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Luis Rivas, Business Development Manager Export, of Church & Dwight Canada Corp., who was so kind to pay us a courtesy visit. We sincerely look forward in meeting him soon again. 

December 13 2005, we received the visit of Mr. Rodolfo Artilles, Clorox Caribbean Business Director  (except Pto. Rico.). Rodolfo spent two days with us, during which he got to know our company, personnel, management and trade. By means of our 2005 news-page we would like to thank him for visiting us and look forward to meet him soon again on our islands.

December 14, 2005 Mr. Martin Sowers from Swedish Match Company visited us. Martin has visited us on several occasion and as usual the outcome of his visit was very positive.

On behalf of all of us at Hubsa-Aruba we would like to wish all our surfers a Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year 2006.
