January 1, 2003, the management made its 2003 plan/forecast. During the first quarter 2003, Hubsa officially has been appointed as the exclusive distributor for Best Food, Hellmann Mayonnaise and Knorr. Delvalle Foods also appointed Hubsa as their exclusive representative or Ambi skin tone cream. Also we had the pleasure in  meeting again Ms. Shelly Shultz from Hormel Foods. We are presently considering  to expand our pharmaceutical department with new products. Mr. Martin Sowers from The Swedish Match planned to visit us during this first quarter but due to the problems in the Middle East, postponed his trip. Also Mr. Elie Arama and Evan Hardfor from Delvalle postpone their trip to the second quarter. Their are some very interesting new well-known companies in the pipeline to join our company and this will be published in our Hubsa's 2003 News Page in due time.....

SECOND QUARTER

During the second quarter we received the visit of Mr. Jorge Benitez from ConAgra, who informed us of ConAgra's plan to consolidate, we took notice of his information and participated by following ConAgra's instructions, filling in a Company Profile sent by e-mail by ConAgra to us This was completed and sent on June 28, 2003. The result is still pending. From ConAgra we have the pleasure of representing for over 30 years La Choy Soy Sauce and are proud to say that we created both in Aruba and Curacao the turnover it now generates. Also Swiss Miss and Van Camp, (both from ConAgra), was trusted in our hands two or three years ago, and we made these products also a success in the Aruba market.. Now the decision is in ConAgra's hand. We will keep you informed of the outcome. Mr. Martin Sowers of The Swedish Match Company also visited our company during this quarter and was very enthusiastic of his findings. In December 2003 we were appointed as Swedish Match , The Three Stars Matches, for the Aruba market. Again here we created a nice presence compared to its former distributor for the Aruba market., During this quarter we also had the pleasure to receive the representative of Bombardier (SeaDoo) accompanied by Mr. Aldonio de Andrade. Joel Gois da Silva from Goisco  Curacao, also spend two days with us, to check the Aruba Market. Shelly Shultsz from Hormel spent two days with us. Mc. Donald Aruba soon will start offering the consumer Spam Burger. Aruba is # 3 per capita consumer of Spam luncheon meat.

THIRD QUARTER

Bobby and good old friend Ricky Hassanali from Lever Brothers visited our company and discussed various interesting topics. Mr. Nuno of Atral Pharmaceutical plans to visit us during this or next quarter. Hubsa has been appointed as their official representative for the Aruba Market. There are a lot of positive matters going on in our company and as partner we will keep you informed, so please continue visiting our site. During the month of September we had the pleasure again to welcome Ms. Shelly Shultsz from Hormel to our market. During her visit we had a very fruitful meeting with the local management of the Mc. Donald chain for Aruba and Curacao. We are in negotiation with Mr. Tito Cordeiro, the managing director of Mc. Donald, to  soon start with Spam Burger at all in the Mc. Donald's in Aruba and later also, depending on the outcome, also in Curacao

FOURTH QUARTER

It is with pleasure that we announce our appointment as distributor in the market of Aruba  for WD 40 products. First order already arrived and sales for all the products pertaining to WD 40 are already in the market, merchandised and marketed by our sales & marketing department. We would like to thank Mr. Enrique Diaz who trusted the WD 40 line of products in our hands. During the month of September also we were informed by Mr. Serra of ConAgra Florida, that La Choy, Swiss Miss and Van Camp will leave our company after over 40 years to be consolidated with the ConAgra distributor on the island. La Choy was introduced on our islands by our company over 30 years ago and we are proud to say that we took the La Choy Line of products from scratch and made it by far the leading brand in our market, same as with Swiss Miss and it is with great regret that we have to see this line depart. Our management has, without success, tried to contact on various occasion Mr. Glen Smith, the export director at ConAgra, through quite some e-mails, to try to convince him to reconsider their decision. .We would like to take this opportunity to thank especially Mr. Jorge Benitez from ConAgra for his support to our company during the years we had the pleasure in working with him and hope that we can meet again in the future. Well in this kind if business you loose some and also you win more. During the month of October we will have the honor in welcoming to our island Mr. Jaime Fernandez managing director of Clorox Caribbean  accompanied by Mr. Richard Taurel area manager. We just received a call today October 28 of

Ms. Shelly Shultsz called us to inform of her decision to retire from  the company she has been working for as area representative for Hormel. On behalf of all of us at Hubsa we wish her all the best with her future endeavor and also would like to use our news 2003 webpage to wish her and her soon to become husband Jimmy all the best of luck with their forthcoming wedding. which will take place in  November. Felicidades.!!!!

Mr. Samuel Vera informed us of his appointment as the new Regional Manager for our territory for WD 40 products and all of us here at Hubsa would like to welcome him and look forward to meet him in the near future on our islands.

During the month of November we also had the opportunity to meet Mr. Nuno, from Atral Pharma, Portugal the outcome ot this meeting was excellent.

From  November 12 to 14, our managing director, Nelson Salas, had the pleasure in receiving the visit of Mr. Jaime Fernandez, managing director Clorox Caribbean, Mr. Alfonso Lopez and Mr. Richard Taurel from The Clorox Company in Pto. Rico. During their visit various important topics were discussed. All by all a very positive visit. We would like to thank Mr. Fernandez, Lopez and Taurel for their visit and look forward to meet them soon back on our islands.Mr. Elie Arama from Delvalle Brands (formerly Delvalle Foods) also visited our island, Mr. Arama arrived on November 13. The outcome, as usual, was excellent.

The Management and Staff of Hubsa would like also to welcome Mr. Mike Lammers, Marketing and Sales manager for the Caribbean area for Hormel Foods ,  Mr. Lammers will be our contact person with Hormel Foods International and we look forward to meet him soon on our island.
