January 1, 2001 started with Hubert Salas & Co (Aruba) NV changing its trade name to HUBSA. Our suppliers were consulted months prior to the change.

Ms. Shelly Schultsz from Hormel International, Ms. Brooks Kuhn from Caribbean Connection, Miami, Mr. Ricky Hassanalli from Lever Brothers W.I., Mr. Elie Arama from Delvalle Foods, Miami and Mr. Jorge Benitez from ConAgra's, Miami paid us a visit during the first quarter 2001

SECOND QUARTER:

Mr. Lobo from ADM, Curacao, Robert Beckles from Matouk in Trinindad.Mr. Hoebecke from Novartis-Cerber stationed in Pto. Rico also paid us a courtesy visit on June 26.

Mr. Richard Taurel Managing Director of R.T. Services Ltd, Clorox Area Manager for the Caribbean and our Manager Director, Nelson Salas, paid a visit to Clorox Pto. Rico on June 28 and 29.During their visit to Clorox, they met with several department managers. The outcome of the meeting was excellent, By means of this news-page we would like to thank Mr. Taurel again for its most important backing to our management and company.

THIRD QUARTER:

Fourth Quarter

Hubsa added a new department Atardi Networks dedicated to web hosting and will be managed by Timothy (Tim) Salas. Hubsa has been appointed exclusive representative for STP and Glad. starting November 1, 2001. During October we had the visit of Mr. Elie Arama and Ms. Jessica Freedman, Jessica will continue covering this area together with Elie. Also Mr. Ricky Hassannaly and the newly appointed area sales manager for Lever W.I. Mr. Michael Clerk visited us on October 1. Ms. Shelly Shultsz from Hormel International also paid us a visit on October 25. An in-store tasting for Hormel products began on October 26 and will continue for six weeks. Arm & Hammer personal care in-store promotion and prizes campaign started on October 31 and will also last for 6 weeks. On November 30 2001, John and Nelson met Mr. Aldonio de Andrade, sole representative for the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba for Bombardier, Canada, producer amongst other of the world famous brand Seadoo. The outcome of the meeting was, that a feasibility plan will be worked for the Aruba market. It the outcome is positive, Hubsa will open at the end of the first quarter of 2002 a completely new independent  department which will be focused toward the tourism an locals. We will keep you informed of further developments re this new plan.
